Today is our first full day in Macha. We went to bed at 10pm and got up around noon. Part of this was due to Liam getting up in the middle of the night for a few hours and part of it was due to complete exhaustion. We had mangoes, cereal, and peanut butter and jelly for breakfast/lunch. The gardens here are incredible and very well kept! I think we are having more mangoes with dinner. Liam loves the outdoors---dirt,rocks, and small herds of cows.
Right now both he and Dave are napping.
After we ate this afternoon, we hopped in the suv for a basic tour of the area: research facilities and accommodations, BIC mission, a local market, airport grounds, cafeteria and dormitory, restaurant, and we drove thru the MICS school campus. There is still lots more to see and as the week goes on we will visit more areas and meet with different people.
Gotta go eat dinner!
Yay! Glad you made it safely! Noah has been praying each night that your trip would be blessed (and us too)! No snow here - in fact it is soooo warm today in the high 40's! Enjoy.
